60 ha. Dead or Alive?

How big is 60 hectares or 80 football fields?

ART at WORK is conceptualising and initiating projects that help raise awareness of such life threatening issues through a “hands on” interactive approach.

The project’s goal was to bring people together to experience how big is an area of 60 hectares.
ART at WORK took an orange rope around the outside of a 60 ha block and then invited the public to paint text or pictures on white cloth to the theme of land consumption. These art works were hung on the rope lines to help make the 60ha more visible.

All the materials and expert advice was available for people to construct their own “developerscarer”: an earth spirit figure to set into the earth to help protect it. Many families and individuals did so, setting them in the landscape. A forum for experts was also created with info stands for local flora and fauna data.
